    Argentina Announces Preliminary World Cup Squad

    Argentina’s national football team has announced its preliminary squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. From this initial list of 55 players, coach Lionel Scaloni will ultimately select the final 26-man squad.

    The most discussed new face in the preliminary squad is Santiago Beltran. This young footballer from River Plate has secured a spot in the list of six goalkeepers.

    Additionally, Lautaro Di Lollo from Boca Juniors and Zaid Romero from Getafe have also found their places in the squad.

    Young talents like Alejandro Garnacho, Matias Soule, and Claudio Echeverri have returned to the national team after a long hiatus.

    Argentina’s Preliminary World Cup Squad:

    Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa), Gerónimo Rulli (Olympique Marseille), Juan Musso (Atlético Madrid), Walter Benítez (Crystal Palace), Facundo Cambeses (Racing Club), and Santiago Beltran (River Plate) are in charge of the goalpost.
